In his 15 years of living in Asia, Kent held executive positions at some of the world’s leading telecommunication companies. During the last decade of working in Asia, Early on, he recognized a need for a system that would effectively teach non-native English speaking students English communication skills at a price the average Asian student could afford.
By November of 2005, technology had reached a point where it could create a medium to implement a plan that Kent had developed over a 10-year-period and at this point Kent left his prestigious executive position at Korea Telecom to establish Eleutian Communications.
During his tenure in the telecommunications sector, Kent held key executive positions and directed a number of global strategic partnerships and investments. Prior to establishing Eleutian Communications, Kent was Corporate Vice President of Korea Telecom (KT) responsible for global strategy, investments, and partnerships.

In this pioneering position, Kent became the first foreign executive in KT. Prior to his position at KT, Kent was Divisional Vice President for Ericsson where he was responsible for strategic partnerships for Ericsson’s Data Backbone and Optical Division.
Before joining Ericsson Kent held executive positions in business development, investments, strategic partnerships, and sales at Cisco Systems Inc., 3Com Corp. and US Robotics.
