One of the greatest challenges of ESL instruction is the initial student evaluation. Every learner has strengths and weaknesses, and conventional testing methods are time-consuming. SpeakENG Placement is a state-of-the-art adaptive computer-based testing program that quickly gauges learners’ ability in vocabulary, listening comprehension, and grammar.
Each test is randomly generated from thousands of questions per skill. Depending on learners’ responses to each question, SpeakENG computer-adaptive Placement fits the difficulty to test each learners’ ability. This automatic, adaptive method reduces the frustration students feel when tested outside their skill level, shortens the time needed for assessment, and yields more accurate and reliable results.
