Eleutian holds grand opening of new HQ in Cody

Officials from Korea, China, and Japan joined state business leaders for the grand opening of the new Eleutian Technology headquarters building in Cody.

The 10,000-square-foot (930-sq. meter) building on Cody's east end that will serve as the corporate headquarters of the company. It is scheduled to move in on Oct. 1 and will base about 40 corporate employees there.

Eleutian Technology had previously been based in Ten Sleep, where it was founded in 2006.

The company hires individuals in Wyoming and other states to teach English to students in Korea, China and Japan via interactive video conferencing over the Internet.

The Powell Tribune reports that Eleutian President and CEO Kent Holiday says the company is excited about bringing the world to Cody and helping local teachers participate in today's global economy.
