Eleutian Technology LLC, a Wyoming company based in Ten Sleep, will set up shop for its conversational English teaching operation in the McMurry Business Park on the east edge of Casper.

Kent Holiday, CEO of Eleutian Technology, said Friday that his company had signed a three-year lease to inhabit the top floor of a building across from the Fire Rock Steakhouse.

“We’re working right now on the build-out of it,” Holiday said of the 3,000-square foot space. “We’re building it to meet our needs.”

Holiday was unsure whether Eleutian would go with wired or wireless connections for video conferencing used for teaching conversational English initially to Korean students in public schools.

“My guess is that we’ll go wireless,” he said. If so, Eleutian will be utilizing a current communications tower on Casper Mountain.

The initial facility will house about 120 teachers, but Eleutian will expand over time n in the building or elsewhere in Casper, according to Holiday. He said the operation will include 200 to 300 teachers, most of them working part time.

“We’re excited to get to Casper and get up and running,” Holiday said.

Through a partnership with Casper College, teachers are already being trained. The teaching operation should begin May 1.
